Gujarat is one of India's largest transformer and electrical-equipment manufacturing clusters. A single transformer draws on several distinct fastener families: structural hex bolts and nuts for the tank and cover, tie rods and stud rods for core clamping, flange studs for bushings, terminals and radiators, and cast-in foundation bolts for the installation plinth.
KP Fasteners manufactures the anchor-bolt, stud and tie-rod families in-house at our Ahmedabad plant and supplies matching hex hardware, with finishes matched to oil-immersed, outdoor and coastal duty.
Finish selection matters: external tank, radiator and outdoor hardware is normally hot-dip galvanised to IS 2629 / ASTM A153, while internal oil-immersed fasteners are supplied self-colour or with an oil-compatible finish. For coastal substations and chemically aggressive sites we supply SS 304 and SS 316 hardware.
Each manufactured lot is dimensionally inspected and ships with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certification on request, with heat-number traceability.

Grades run from mild steel (IS 2062) through property class 8.8 for structural joints, plus SS 304 / 316 where corrosion governs.
What coatings suit oil-immersed and outdoor transformer duty?
For external tank, radiator and outdoor hardware, hot-dip galvanising to IS 2629 / ASTM A153 is the default. Internal, oil-immersed fasteners are typically supplied self-colour or with an oil-compatible finish free of zinc flaking. Stainless steel is used for marine, coastal and chemically aggressive substation environments.
Do you make foundation bolts for transformer installation?
Yes. Cast-in J, L, headed and swedge foundation bolts to IS 5624 and ASTM F1554 are manufactured in-house for transformer plinths and rectifier skids. Send the base-plate / rail bolt pattern and we quote the anchor-bolt set with template requirements.
