Foundation bolts for the lighting-pole industry
Every lighting pole is held down by an anchor-bolt cage cast into a concrete foundation. The pole base plate is set over the projecting bolts and levelled with nuts above and below — so the anchor-bolt set, its bolt-circle (PCD) accuracy and its coating are what keep the pole standing through wind and vibration loads.
KP Fasteners manufactures the full J, L, headed and swedge anchor-bolt range in-house at our Ahmedabad plant to IS 5624 and ASTM F1554, with mating nuts and washers to IS 1363.
For high-mast and stadium towers, heavier headed or swedge bolts to ASTM F1554 Grade 55 are supplied with a positioning template / jig that holds the bolt circle true during the concrete pour. Hot-dip galvanising to IS 2629 / ASTM A153 is the default outdoor finish.
Each lot is dimensionally inspected and ships with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certification on request, with heat-number traceability — so the pole fabricator and the EPC both get documented anchorage.

How to specify a pole-foundation bolt set
From the pole base-plate detail
- Bolt diameter and length (e.g. M24 × 750 mm).
- Bolt-circle diameter (PCD) and number of bolts.
- Projection above concrete and embedment / hook length.
- Shape: J, L, headed or swedge.
Material, coating & set
- Grade: IS 5624 class 4.6 or ASTM F1554 Gr 36 / 55.
- Coating: HDG (default outdoor) or zinc.

What foundation bolts do you make for lighting poles?

Do you supply the anchor-bolt set with a template?
Yes. Pole base plates are set from an anchor-bolt cage, so we quote the full set — bolts, nuts, washers and, where required, a positioning template / jig to hold the bolt-circle (PCD) during concrete pour. Send the base-plate detail with the bolt PCD, projection and embedment.
What coating is used for outdoor pole foundations?
Hot-dip galvanising to IS 2629 / ASTM A153 is the default for cast-in pole anchorage. Zinc electroplating is available for short-exposure or indoor applications. For coastal installations, HDG with increased coating mass or stainless steel is recommended.
